The long wait for more NBA 2K21 details is finally over. A few days ago, all fans turned their attention towards the PlayStation online store that leaked the date for the game demo, the Prelude. Now, we have official confirmation that the Prelude becomes available on August 24th. Just a few more days and we will be able to sink our teeth into the game.
As you very well know, the Prelude offers a window into the gameplay. It’s not the entire game, but it’s enough to give us an idea about how the 2020 installment will be. We are excited to try the game, even if it’s just a small portion of it. Many NBA 2K fans wait for the demo to test the game before buying it. Unfortunately, PC players don’t get the chance to preview the game.
The demo is available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch. The NBA 2K21 Steam page doesn’t say anything about the demo. However, you can be sure that those who get to test the game will not keep quiet about it. Expect to see gameplay videos and many discussions about it. Considering that PC is a big market, we don’t know why 2K doesn’t allow PC players to test the games on their machines. Console gamers don’t need to worry about requirements but it would be useful for PC players to see how the game runs on their computers before buying it.
The NBA 2K21 demo release date comes as part of a bigger announcement. A gameplay blog featuring some of the new game systems is finally available. It turns out that the cover star, Damian Lillard, is a 2K fan and, like any other gamer, he has feedback to share. Some of his ideas made their way into the game. So, from now on when you make a point guard that is taller than 6’8”, you have Lillard to thank for that. It was his request to increase the maximum height for point guards.
The Pro Stick has been the same since it was introduced in the NBA 2K series. Things will change starting with NBA 2K21 as the Pro Stick has been significantly revamped. The shooting system saw some changes as well. Motion styles and badges are part of the updates too. The team behind the NBA 2K series is always looking for ways to make the game accessible to new players but challenging for veterans. This year’s edition will reinforce this promise.
The NBA 2K21 will release officially on 4 September 2020. MTStacks will have the NBA 2K21 MyTEAM coins in stock in early September.
