New Scorched Event Running in Fallout 76

You might want to stock up on those cheap Fallout 76 atoms, because a new event is now running in game. From the 23^rd July to August 6^th, you can unlock tons of brand new awards in the game. Of course, a lot of it will be included on the atom store, but some of the best stuff will be free drops…if you can find the scorched that drop the gear, of course!

What is Happening in Fallout 76?

The event is called ‘Holiday Scorched’, an event in Fallout 76 where some festive scorched come out to play.

Unlike some of the other events happening in Fallout 76, there is no designated event area for the game. Instead, you need to track down where the scorched are often hiding (which is most places in the game, let’s be honest).

At random, a Holiday Scorched could appear. It will play a festive jingle. You’ll then need to kill it quickly. When you do, you’ll unlock some cool loot, hopefully!

What Loot is Available?

There’s some fantastic loot available in the scorched event. One of our favorite pieces of the giant Red Brontosaurus statute, which you can stick in your C.A.M.P. When we say it is big, we really mean that it is absolutely massive.

That’s the highlight, but there’s also various other smaller statues for your camp (a Snowman, and a Vault Boy dressed like an Elf), plus some backpack skins, and a few other items that might be cool.

You’ll probably need to play the game a lot if you want to grab all the loot. Of course, some of it will likely also be for sale at the various vendors that players have set-up throughout the game.

How to Make the Most of the Holiday Scorched Event

About the only thing that you can really do here is to play the game as much as possible. The more you play the game, the more chance you have of encountering a Holiday Scorched. They do seem to pop up with a bit of regularity.

Of course, you’ll want to hang around the areas where scorched are most likely to appear. We suggest Morgontown Airport, preferably on a private server, so you have the best spawn rates. However, you may have another area on the map where you want to find your scorched instead. The Fallout 76 wiki has plenty of information for you!

Atom Store Updates

At the moment, there are no atomic store updates that line up with the Holiday Scorched event, but you can pick up the Fort Fortress bundle, which we think looks amazing!
